GRAND OPENING CEREMONY OF THE 2.8KM LEMU TOWNSHIP ROAD AND DRAINAGE BY HON. HUSSAIN ALIYU LEMU. 14TH SEPTEMBER, 2020

The Hon. Chairman Gbako Local Government Lemu officially flagged off of the 2.8km Road  Reconstruction and Drainages. Hon. Hussaini Aliyu in his opening remarks enjoy the entire people of Gbako Local Government to embrace the new development and work in tandem with the grand rules of contractors. In thesame vein the Chairman plead with shop owners who are residing very close to the road to immediately relocate so as to ease the ongoing reconstruction and rehabilitation.  The Director Works & Housing, Gbako Local Government in his welcome address assure the people of Gbako that his Department is going to carry out their work to the best of ability Construction of two class room in Gbangba tsofogi also in progress.  Gbako Local Government Secretariat wear a new look. DEVASTATION CAUSED BY FLOOD IN GBAKO LOCAL GOVERNMENT AREA ON 6TH-8TH SEPTEMBER, 2020

Across the globe, floods have posed tremendous danger to people’s lives and properties. In Gbako Local Government, the pattern of flood is similar with the rest of flood across the state, mainly caused as a result of release of water volumes from Shiroro Dam, heavy downpour within the months of July and September and human cause. Virtually, communities living along river Kaduna southern part of Gbako and River Gbakogi North are highly affected by flood as a result of human attitude which has become yearly phenomenon. Owing to the combined forces of the above mentioned devastation caused by flood in Gbako Local Government areas on 6th – 8th September, 2020 served as black days to the communities as the farmers witness submerged of their farmlands to the devastating flood across hundred of thousands of hectares of farmlands with varieties of crops i.e. Rice, sugarcane, maize and other assorted crops.  SENSITIZATION TALK ON RAPE, DOMESTIC VIOLENCE & CHILD ABUSE DELIVERED IN LEMU, ETSU-AUDU AND EDOZHIGI DISTRICT OF GBAKO LOCAL GOVERNMENT.

These words (RAPE) are not news again, it is happening around the world and now here in our state. The chairperson Mrs.Rahmat Hussaini led a campaign against rape in partnership with the Women Representive Gbako Local Government Council Mrs. Susan Aliyu.  Mrs. Baba, Dorothy Ladi in her sensitization talk on rape, domestic violence and child abuse delivered in Lemu, estu audu and edozhigi districts of gbako local government (Sisantu yan eyan nazhi e jin faruwa gbani na) Sisantu mafari 1) Ekeba Kpaka ( Rape) this is forceful entry ( sex) into a person either male of female  by empowering the victim without consent Example:-a) 25 yr old rapes 85 yr old woman in Rafi local government. b) 13 yr old rapes 7 yr old in chanchanga, minna.
