GRAND OPENING CEREMONY OF THE 2.8KM LEMU TOWNSHIP ROAD AND DRAINAGE BY HON. HUSSAIN ALIYU LEMU. 14TH SEPTEMBER, 2020

The Hon. Chairman Gbako Local Government Lemu officially flagged off of the 2.8km Road  Reconstruction and Drainages.

Hon. Hussaini Aliyu in his opening remarks enjoy the entire people of Gbako Local Government to embrace the new development and work in tandem with the grand rules of contractors.

In thesame vein the Chairman plead with shop owners who are residing very close to the road to immediately relocate so as to ease the ongoing reconstruction and rehabilitation.

Islamic Scholar and the first Grand Khadi of Niger State Sheikh Ahmed Lemu is dead.

Sheiikh Lemu died in Minna Thursday. He was aged 91 years. A statement by one of his children, Nurudeen Lemu, confirmed the demise of the scholar and educationist.  He was buried according to Islamic right. The deceased authored so many books and received the King Faisal Bin Abdul Aziz award for the promotion of peaceful coexistence among people of different faith. Prior to his death he served at different capacity in this country where he proved his high level of integrity, hardworking, God fearing and intellectuality.  He was the recipients of number of merit awards national and international among them he's the recipient of King Faisal Prize  merit award in Saudi Arabia 2014 which to my knowledge is the second after Sheikh Abubakar Gumi.  In addition, he's the husband of renown Author and Islamic scholar Aisha Lemu who wrote a reputable Islamic Studies book for secondary schools which all my contemporary are beneficiaries to her work.  May the Almighty Allah gran

8th January is declared as work free day

The Hon Vice Chairman of Gbako Local Government Barrister Barnabas Musa Baba In consultation with Labour and other Trade Unions at the Local Government,  Has declared Monday 8th of February as work free day for the entire staff of the Local Government in Memory of late Hajiya Fatima Aliyu Lemu, Mother of Hon chairman, Alhaji Hussein Aliyu Lemu DANKIMIYAN NUPE (AMALI) Who died on Saturday 6th of February After a brief Illness.  Information Officer Gbako Local Government, with Hassan Bawa and Aliyu Mohammed Lemu.
