In the year 2020

At the beginning of 2020, I had planned all my schedule from day 1 to day 365. I had also planned to graduate in same year.

The year started and it was a year full of trials for all of us. Passed through the difficult times of grief and loss, Of Black Lives Matter, of End SARS, Of the PANDEMIC, ASUU STRIKE, INSECURITY, Kidnapping, Dethrone Of Emir Of Kano, Ban Of Pilgrims, Ban Of Tafsir, Total Lockdown, its shadow and all other terrible events that came with it.

Personally, my work experience salary percentage cut due to the shadow pandemic, I've had to deal with so much that weighed me down emotionally, mentally, physically.

On this very first day of the year 2021, I'm so grateful for what this year has offered me; a chance to learn and give back to my community in tenfolds, a chance to slow down, chose a good wife and settle down.

A chance to reflect on the little good things, the delays, lost opportunities, and uncertainties.
It has offered me a chance to appreciate health and a chance to battle it out with my demons, and by Allah’s will; I, like many others were amongst those lucky to withstand it all.

I have come to realize that not everything goes as planned and have embraced it in good faith. It can only get better.

Wish you all a productive 2021! Please #staysafe.
