GBAKO PEOPLE THE LONG AWAITED PROGRAMME IS NOW AT OUR DOORSTEP

GEEP 2.0 is one of the National Social Investment Programmes established by the President Muhammadu Buhari. GEEP is directed at providing soft and affordable loans to finance their businesses.  The programme is targeted And delivered under three 3 unique phases. Phase 1. The TraderMoni Target: Marginalized Youth Phase2. MarketMoni Target: Vulnerable Women Phase3. FarmerMoni Target: Rural Farmers  i. Qualifying Criteria WHO is a potential GEEP Beneficiary? Most Vulnerable Citizens in any given community.  ii. Vulnerable women identified as a widow, or a female headed household. iii. The enterprising youth. iv. The rural farmer who depends on farming as a source of income and daily means of survival. v. Co-orperative groups and associations with common enterprise, values, belief and norms.

PROFILE OF THE NEW CHIEF OF ARMY STAFF MAJOR GENERAL FARUK YAHAYA

The new Chief of Army Staff (COAS), Major General Faruk Yahaya was born on 5 January 1966 in Sifawa, Bodinga Local Government Area of Sokoto state. Maj Gen Yahaya who is a member of the 37 Regular Course of the prestigious Nigerian Defence Academy (NDA), started his cadet training on 27 September 1985 and was commissioned into the Nigerian Army Infantry Corps on 22 September 1990. Maj Gen Yahaya has held several appointments including Staff, Instructional and Command. Notable among the appointments held by the new COAS are Garrison Commander Headquarters Guards Brigade, Directing Staff at the Armed Forces Command and Staff College (AFCSC), Deputy Director Army Headquarters Department of Military Secretary,  Deputy Director Army Research and Development and the Chief of Staff, Headquarters Joint Task Force Operation Pulo Shield. Woman reportedly burnt to death by jealous co-wife in Niger State seven weeks after her wedding

Young woman reportedly burnt to death by jealous co-wife in Niger State seven weeks after her wedding A newlywed woman identified as Fatima from Katsina State was reportedly burnt to death by her husband's first wife in Minna, Niger State.   The incident happened on Tuesday, March 23, about seven weeks after the deceased got married to the Niger state indigene.  A family source, who spoke to Katsina Post, said the two wives were not living in the same house.  According to him, the first wife went to Fatima's house and beat her to pulp. Afterwards, she locked her up inside the room and set it on fire, burning the new bride to death.  "They were not living in the same house but the first wife went to her house which is not far and beaten her to death before locking her room up and setting her ablaze”, the family source said. IT SADDENS ME TO ANNOUNCE THE DEATH OF HAJIYA FATIMA ALIYU LEMU

The death of Hajiya Fatima Aliyu Lemu  the mother to the Executive Chairman Gbako Local Government Hon. Hussaini Aliyu Lemu Dan kimiyan Nupe (Amali)  She died at the age of 72years after a brief illness in private hospital Minna. The burial is scheduled to take place in Gbako Local Government Lemu, by 2:00pm today. May her soul rest in peace
